Hah hah! Except not really. Not right away, anyway. Graduating from college this week, but I'm not sticking around for the ceremony. I'm going to Anime St. Louis with three of my friends, instead! Driving cross-country in my car, gonna have a great weekend, then we get back and I'm back to work at the same place as the last two summers.
Which, fyi, means I'll be even more disconnected from the internet than I am even now.
BUT!! This is where the big plans come in! So I'm working this summer to pay off student loans and build up a savings. Work 'til winter, spend the holidays with my family, stuff like that. All the while I'll be working on my costume portfolio and seamstress resume. So come January, what I'm gonna do is plot a course around the states, staying with friends and family here and there, trying to get a job. I'll call theaters and costume shops beforehand to make appointments and whatnot. Here's hoping, right?
Problem with my portfolio is that I've so far only done costumes for myself and one dress for another girl. I think I want to try taking a couple of comissions for different people, body types and whatnot, so I have more experience to show off, ya know? We'll see how it all goes! Maybe I can do some costumes for the local theater...
