Ginko

Yay Mushi-shi! If you have no idea what that is, it's an incredibly beautiful anime. It's plot is very...poetic in the way it presents ordinary parts of our lives in an extraordinary way.

As for the technique, this is what my teacher called oil lift-out. You do your painting, then you clean your brush off and load it up with oil thinner to go back and pull off paint where you want the highlights to be. Kinda the reason I picked Ginko to do is because when you just flick some thinner onto the oil, it makes that cool-looking cracked design. I saw my teacher's example piece do that, and I was like, "OMG! It looks like Mushi!" Not out loud, of course. XD So there you have it!
